Engine Block Maker Quest
Trying to figure out who made the block/motor for Westerbeke who marinized it into the W27. The stocker alternator is a Mitsubishi M65R, leading me to believe it's a Mitsubishi block.
Might also be a British Leyland block?

Reconnected propane solenoid in locker - 1/22/09
The connection from the solenoid switch to the actual solenoid in the
locker wasn't done with heat shrink connections. When I cut the
connections there was some corrosion on the vessel side of the wiring.

Cleaned Velcro from settee backs - 1/23/10
Christie and Casey used goo gone, razor blades and elbow grease to
remove all the old Velcro from the fiberglass behind the settees. I'm
hoping we don't have to replace it, though I imagine in any seaway the
cushions will fall down.

Installed Solarvent in head cabintop - 1/24/10 - $120
Today I installed a Nicro day/night plus solar vent for the head. I
purchased the vent on eBay.
purchased the vent on eBay.
I removed the chimney outlet from the former propane water heater, and
enlarged the whole by about a 1/2". I then epoxied the deck core with
west systems un-thickened. After that dried I siliconed in the inside
trim ring then siliconed the outer vent in.
Since it's solar powered with a battery for backup this should lead to
constant fresh air in the head. I will have to test whether is should
run on exhaust or intake.
